Conversion of Weibull Silo Systems
ESI Eurosilo has already been contacted several times for the conversion of various types of Weibull silos. These silos were built decades ago and many are still in operation. The problem is now that Weibull is no longer in existence. The company already stopped developing their silo systems a long time ago. Producers in different industries are now looking to modernize these silos, as they need to comply with changing rules and regulations. Also, the reliability for uninterrupted operation is becoming an issue, causing downtime and increased TCO to keep it running.
ESI Eurosilo has all the expertise to help out with the Weibull silos. The first Weibull conversion was completed last year for Rohrdorfer Zement in Germany. The obvious benefits are significantly less downtime and 100% compliance with today’s regulations on environment and labor. Our challenge was to overcome the quite narrow access to the inside, while replacement of structural parts such as the auger frame and slewing bridge were necessary. It was a lot like building a ship in a bottle, but due to special provisions, we succeeded to do the job. The silo is now successfully operating.
